Planning permission for a rear extension to provide a costume store and rearrangement of dressing rooms was supported.

Shanklin Theatre sought listed building consent to replace a number of its windows. We urged demonstration the existing windows were incapable of being repaired before looking to replacement.

The theatre element of a major heritage-led restoration, refurbishment and extension programme at the Guildhall was supported. It will provide accessibility and improvements to function and layout.

Revised proposals for Embassy Theatre in Skegness
Plans to extend the theatre were reduced compared to the existing permission, although there will now be refurbishment of back of house areas along with smaller front of house extension.

No objection was raised to planning permission for the removal of existing telecoms apparatus and replacement with new equipment.

Residential use for former office at Aldwych Theatre
Planning permission was sought to return part of the Aldwych Theatre to residential use, having been an office since the early 1990s. No overall objection was raised subject to sufficient legal agreements and conditions protecting the theatre.
