Heritage Emergency Fund
National Lottery Heritage Fund has launched a new £50m scheme to support heritage organisations.
The fund can be accessed over the next 3-6 months as short-term funding to stabilise operations and manage unforeseen risks. Grants will range from £3,000 to £50,000 and will focus on addressing immediate pressures over the next 3-6 months for those most in need.
Funding will be available to organisations that have received funding in the past and are either a current grantee, or still under contract following a previous grant. Priority will be given where there is limited or no access to other sources of support, or where heritage is most at risk.
Further details will be available in the next few days.
As well as the Heritage Emergency Fund, National Lottery Heritage Fund will also support the sector by accelerating the provision of its £1.2m Digital Skills for Heritage initiative to help the sector through the crisis and beyond and continuing to support the 2,500 projects it has already committed to funding.
