Bursaries for Conference 19
Thanks to the support of ETC, GDS and HQ Theatres we are able to offer bursary places to higher education students, emerging artists and small / unfunded organisations.
The theme of this year’s Theatres Trust conference is putting artist and audience at the heart of theatre buildings. We are therefore particularly keen to ensure that we attract delegates from a wide range of theatre companies and that artistic voices are represented in the audience as well as in the conference programme.
With this in mind, our bursary scheme, in association with ETC, GDS and HQ Theatres, will be open to emerging artists and representatives from small / unfunded theatre organisations, as well to students on relevant higher education courses.
Due to the level of support we've received from ETC, GDS and HQ Theatres, we are now able to offer travel expenses and hotel accommodation to applicants from outside Greater London.
Highlights of Conference 19: Centre Stage include celebrated sociologist and urbanist Professor Richard Sennett and an Artists’ Panel featuring Nadia Fall, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Tarek Iskander, Battersea Arts Centre, Joe Douglas, Live Theatre, Newcastle and Bryony Shanahan, Associate Artistic Director, Royal Exchange Manchester. We will also hear from organisations who are creating theatre in non-traditional spaces including Punchdrunk, Theatre Absolute and Theatre Deli. Further exciting theatre-sector speakers will be announced in early August. The conference is made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.
We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an inspiring day with lively debate and great networking opportunities.
