Meeting room hire to end
Theatres Trust has made the decision to end the meeting room hire service at our Charing Cross office.
Although the room hire business has been successful in recent years and we have enjoyed welcoming colleagues across the industry to use the space, unfortunately it does not generate sufficient income to cover the costs of operating an additional floor. Room hires will continue until the end of June 2019 and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the users and generous sponsors who have supported the centre over the years.
What does this mean for other Theatres Trust services?
Theatres Trust will remain at 22 Charing Cross Road, with our advice and grants services continuing to operate as usual from the second floor offices.
The first floor in our Charing Cross office also currently houses our Resource Centre containing Theatres Trust’s archive materials and publications library. Thanks to a National Archives grant, under its Archives Revealed Scoping scheme, an archive consultant will be helping us to identify opportunities for our archive and how to make our resources more accessible.
In the meantime, all of our records and information will still be available to researchers, but we would ask that appointments are made with at least one week’s notice to ensure that the materials required will be available.
