Arts Council England Small Capital Grants

Arts Council England has announced details of its £11.3m fund for small capital projects.

Grants will be between £100,000 and £499,999 and are available for properly constituted arts and cultural organisations based in England whose capital project outcomes are arts focused and relate to the delivery of arts activity.

Priority will be given to National Portfolio Organisations and applications for improvements to existing arts and cultural facilities, particularly where these give full consideration to environmental sustainability.

Projects must meet high standards of design and construction, including ensuring maximum independent access for disabled people and should be at RIBA Stage 3.

Expressions of Interest should be submitted between 1 April and 3 May. The application portal will then open between 31 May and 5 July.

Theatres Trust welcomes news of this funding as our recent research has shown the need for ongoing investment in theatre infrastructure with more than £1bn needed over the next 5 years.
