Matthew Bourne to be honoured with Special Olivier Award

Congratulations to Theatres Trust Ambassador Matthew Bourne on being the recipient of this year’s Special Award in recognition of his extraordinary achievements in dance.

Matthew Bourne is widely hailed as the UK’s most popular and successful choreographer and director. He is the creator of the world’s longest running ballet production, the only British director to have won the Tony Award for both Best Choreographer and Best Director of a Musical – and now with this award, he equals Judy Dench’s record of eight Olivier Awards.

Theatres Trust is proud to have Matthew as one of our Ambassadors and congratulates him on this well-deserved honour.
