Small Grants Programme with The Linbury Trust reopens

We are pleased to announce that Round 9 of our Small Grants Programme with The Linbury Trust is now open for applications.

The scheme funds small projects that make a big impact to a theatre’s resilience, sustainability, accessibility or improving the diversity of audiences. Since the programme launched in 2021, we’ve supported more than 100 not-for-profit theatres with projects including:

• Improving level access to support increased attendance from audiences with limited mobility
• Installing a building management system (BMS) to improve building management efficiency and reduce energy usage
• Purchasing hearing loop or stage text systems for audiences with visual and hearing impairments
• Replacing Tungsten with LED lighting and support the purchase of digital lighting operating systems

We’ve made two key changes to the grant programme since the last round. Most importantly, in recognition of rising costs, the amount that theatres can apply for has increased to £7,500

The application process has also been improved with the introduction of a new online application form.
