Opportunity: Cohort Trainer

We are looking for an experienced trainer/ facilitator with specialist knowledge and experience of financial management and working with charities and/ or community groups.

We are seeking someone with experience of delivering training that encourages peer-to-peer support, networking and knowledge sharing amongst the group.

Working closely with the Resilient Theatres: Resilient Communities Training Producer, you will bring your experience of and ability to create an engaging and bespoke learning experience for a cohort of approximately 12 individuals from six theatres across the UK. The cohort will comprise representatives from community groups associated with theatres listed on the Theatres at Risk Register and will be at different stages, with different abilities and needs.

You will deliver financial viability training to support participants to go on to develop robust business plans in the future and to understand how financial viability relates to their long-term goals, purpose and vision.

All aspects of the training programme will be delivered online. It will comprise three half-day group learning sessions between February and October 2025, in addition to a short introductory session and one-to-one sessions with each theatre during summer.

The training is part of Resilient Theatres: Resilient Communities, a UK-wide, multi-strand programme to help theatres in need. The three-year pilot programme is focused on supporting communities that operate a theatre building, and communities considering taking over a theatre building. The programme is supported The National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Pilgrim Trust and Swire Charitable Trust.
