Theatre at Risk’s successful bid to Community Ownership Fund

We are delighted that Abbeydale Picture House has received funding through the latest round of the government’s scheme.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has announced details of the successful bids to Round 3 Window 3 of its Community Ownership Fund.

Amongst the recipients is Abbeydale Picture House operator Creative Arts Development Space (CADS), who will receive just under £300,000 towards ownership and essential repair costs of the building.

We added Abbeydale Picture to our Theatres at Risk Register in January, which helped raise awareness of the difficulties it faced.
