Easing of restrictions in Wales
First Minister of Wales has announced his roadmap for lifting restrictions on activities.
This will begin with lifting caps on outdoor events and move onto removing the capacity caps and social distancing requirements for theatres from 28 January, dependent on a weekly review of the figures.
Covid passes and masks will still be required and the working from home rule will change from mandatory to advisory.
Theatres Trust Director Jon Morgan responds:
Theatres Trust welcomes news that Covid cases in Wales have fallen sufficiently for restrictions to begin to lift. It is disappointing that theatres will have to wait another two weeks for social distancing and capacity limits to be removed, but it will be a relief that they can begin planning and, all being well, welcome back audiences from 28 January.
