Exploring theatres this September
Throughout September theatres around the country are celebrating their buildings in a series of architecture and heritage festivals with specially designed tours and talks, digitally and in person.

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the built environment. A limited number of venues will still be open for physical visits but the majority will be going digital, including Facebook and Instagram Live guided tours, recorded oral histories, webinars, 360-degree tours and virtual exhibitions. It takes place over each weekend in September. Theatres taking part include Dunoon Burgh Hall, the Byre Theatre St Andrews and Eden Court Inverness. Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture celebrating the heritage, community and history of places. Online events will be offered for the first time, as well as in-person opportunities with social distancing measures in place. It runs from 11 to 20 September. Open House is a festival celebrating London’s architecture and urban landscape, featuring socially distanced events, tours, carefully-managed building openings and film premieres, as well as online events like audio and self-led walking tours and podcasts. It takes place primarily on 19 and 20 September, with additional events running until the 27 September.
