RIBA has announced its awards shortlists for 2020, which include several theatres and cultural facilities.

Congratulations to all building operators and the architects for creating and adapting great buildings.

London

  • English National Ballet by Glenn Howell Architects

  • Royal Central School of Speech and Drama - North Block Building by Tim Ronalds Architects
  • The Bloomsbury Theatre, UCL by Nicholas Hare Architects
  • Boulevard Theatre by SODA Studios Architects
  • Fairfield Halls by MICA Architects

South

  • The Clore Music Studios, New College, Oxford University by John McAslan + Partners 

South east

  • The Malthouse, The King's School Canterbury by Tim Ronalds Architects

South west

  • St George’s Bristol by Patel Taylor

Wales

  • Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham by Featherstone Young

Yorkshire

  • Leeds Playhouse by Page\Park Architects

Provided it is safe to do so, RIBA hope to resume judging in due course and to conclude the awards programme in the second half of this year.
